I have been looking for information about McCamey, TX since I was 16 yrs of age.
George B. McCamey is my grandfather George Warren McCamey first cousin.
They work together in 1915 along with my great grandfather drilling oil wells. In those days they got paid by tools not money. My great grandfather is buried in Custer, OK.
I would like to visit McCamey, TX some day.

How very disappointing when I recently learned that Roylene's As The Windmill Turns is no longer running in the McCamey News. I have learned so much about McCamey and the great folks that have lived or live there now, from her articles.
I sincerely hope the News will reconsider their decision and allow her article to run again.

George McCamey is a distant relative of the McCamey/McKamey family. Upon arrivla in N. America the family setteled in N.Carolina and established the first Presbyterian Church in N.America.

Grandmother (Wanda Bertran Adams) grew up in McCamey, and loved every minute of it. Hear alot of great things about the town. Some of my grandfather's side still lives there, the Adams.
